About Virtira

We didn’t start Virtira to build a company.

We started it because something never sat right.

Growing up in a small Canadian community, one of our founders watched her older sister – a mother of three young children and needing the extra income – unable to find work because she needed work to fit around school schedules. When the perfect job came up, she lost it because she scored too high on an IQ test and was considered “over qualified”. The family struggled to make ends meet. The message was subtle but clear: if you wanted a job and couldn’t afford daycare, you were out of luck.

That experience stayed with us and shaped a conviction that meaningful careers shouldn’t require leaving the places and people that matter most – or on whether you can fit your life into a traditional 9-5 structure.

Virtira was built to challenge that model by designing work to be location-independent and schedule-flexible from the start.

From day one, we built Virtira so exceptional people could have exceptional work opportunities without having to compromise how they want to live their lives.

A Conviction That Shaped Everything

Long before remote work became mainstream, we set out to prove that distributed teams could execute programs and projects from anywhere – with the right systems, workflows, and accountability structures in place.

We built Virtira as a distributed company by design, not by necessity. From everyday life moments to extraordinary ones – sometimes even from places as unexpected as Everest Basecamp or the best surf spots in the world – we’ve always believed performance is defined by people, not offices.

We believe talent doesn’t need to be co-located in a 9–5 office to be high-performing. It needs clarity, accountability, and the right structure to thrive.

Today, Virtira partners with global organizations to manage and execute programs and complex initiatives across sales, marketing, operations, and cross-functional programs – bringing accountability, and disciplined execution so that strategy translates into measurable results, not stalled momentum.
